I'll admit, some of my hardware is a few years old. In fact, my CD player doesn't even play MP3's. My bass amp and subwoofers are a few years old too. Despite the
age, everything sounds great. I have been talking about upgrading my system for
awhile now but just never had the $$ to do so. My plan goes as follows.
My head unit and EQ will be replaced with a Blaupunkt Seatle MP74.
This German engineered head unit has a built in EQ and a host of features my current
head unit doesn't. I am very satisfied with my Audiobahn equipment and I almost
don't want to give any of it up. I would, however, like to upgrade my amp to a 1200
watt Audiobahn digital amplifier. My subs may or may not be adequate for this much
power. The JBL amp has seen better days. It was victim to a tragic car accident
but somehow survived. It seems to be a bit buggy at times but the sound is crystal.
If I do replace it, I will probably go with an Audiobahn full range amplifier. Along
with that will be a set of Audiobahn components for the front and 6x9's for the
rear.
